How I know I'm getting Old

While working on a project at school, I needed to record a student reading.  I had grand plans to use a microphone attached to a computer, so I could be all technologically advanced.  Unfortunately, I couldn't locate my microphone.  So, we had to go all old school.  I had tucked away an old cassette recorder and a box full of new cassettes in a cabinet when the school library was decommissioning their supply.  I thought, "You know... just in case... what if... I might just need this someday..."  (Which explains why both my classroom and my house look the way they do...) Luckily, I just pulled out my supplies and was ready to go.  Just before I went to have the student read into the recorder, I decided to ask the class a question, just for fun.  I held up a cassette tape and said "Does anyone know what this is?"  I am not kidding when I tell you that I heard honest to goodness crickets.  They had no idea.  Because of this, I know that I am getting old.
